Thermastar ductwork systems have no joints bends or tee pieces. Each room gets its own individual duct run from a central manifold which eliminates noise air leaks and cross talk.
Also with Thermastar ductwork the ductwork is insulated from start to finish which greatly reduces heat loss in cold unheated spaces, after all your heat recovery is only as good as the duct work that transfers the air to your rooms Thermastar ductwork has a large 100mm (internal diameter) diameter that allows air to be moved with low resistance and low air speed, unlike other semi rigid duct work that have diameters as low as 60mm which is only suitable for distributing air in small apartments. Sometimes the wrong duct work poorly installed can cause a greater static resistance than the heat recovery unit would be able to overcome.
